Creating a brand

 

Now is time to explain who is this strange guy!
It is the product of the process of creating a brand for a new, hypothetical company.
This was a project for a graphic course: we have to create a new company and its main product, no limit to the imagination, requirement was to be coherent and convincing.
I imagined a start-up that was going to develop an A.I. capable of replacing its owner in all the aspects of the social/web life: gaming, chatting, posting comments and so on.
Obviously the A.I. was configurable and reporting to the owner on a schedule defined by the owner itself.
Starting from this idea there was the task of choosing a proper name, and the right font for it.
The next step was creating a graphic logo for the company.
I ended this phase with the horizontal log:

And also the compact version:

The next phase in the project was creating something special for the company and there, as you already guessed, the compact version of the name became central, with just some simple transformations a small robot character could be created:

So the small robot became the friendly interface of the A.I., especially for humans not much knowing about computers. And it was also a key graphical/emotional element for the possible applications:

It won the benevolence of the course members, and also a 3D render for the final page of the  Brand Development Guide.
As said in a previous post: all the elements of the character have a real meaning! :)

Firenze Logo

 

This is a study for a possible logo for a branding process that was started some years ago started in Firenze.
I stayed on a classic approach but the result was interesting... at least for me!
I liked the idea of something easily recognizable, also if being of little size, and something that recalled the actual artistic heritage of the city, where real masters of the Renaissance created their masterpieces.

A new little friend

 

A new little guy was added to the number of sketches and creations!
Ok it is just a simple 3d model, and also quite schematic... so what can make it so interesting?
Trust me: there is a reason for each element of this simple model.

CUOYO Logo

 
Here is a logo for a company that works leather and leather shoes.
Not only it has to be printed on paper and shoppers, also has to be impressed directly on leather goods.
So a compact shape, easy to recognize, high contrast and few details.
The font was already registered for the company identity, so a graphical layout was needed, possibly displaying also one tool used i this kind of activities.
In the end the customer was satisfied, and that is the most important aspect!

Runnycard

After some months a new post ... this was not a 'nothing done' span of time but on the contrary a lots of things have come to 'life' one of those is this new app for people who like running.
So graphic projects for the log, the site of the app, the app interface and study of some functions ... quite a bit to do.
Up above you can see the first layout for site, now something is different but you can check it for yourself at Runnycard.

Plastic App

One of my last work: create a graphic line for a new product of the company.

This is just a fraction of the graphic elements realized: logo, icon and a series of pictures for the user guide and website.

The App is an animation tool that gives the user a way to quickly extract an element from a photo (or a drawing), compose it on a chosen background and animate it using a skeleton, even a soundtrack can be added to the final exported animation.

Quite challenging was finding a clear graphic to represent several concepts using a distinctive style.
Now the App is up and running and you can follow it on Facebook if you have an Ipad and like animation give it a try!

2D StopMotion Wolf

Here is an elaboration of the company's mascotte for becoming part of the graphic and logo of a new software we are developing. And, have you guessed?, is something about StopMotion productions. So, if the mascotte is a wolf, why not doing a 'stopmotion' wolf for this product?
